There is an appealing history to the Cambodia gambling dens that reside just over the border from next door Thailand, in which casino gambling is not legal. Eight casinos are situated in a generally tiny area in the municipality of Poipet in Cambodia. This group of Cambodia gambling halls is in a prime area, a three to 4 hour trip from Bangkok and Macao, the two most popular betting centers in Asia. In addition, there is the Casino Tropicana, with one hundred and thirty five slot machines and 66 of the common table games, as well as a single table of Casino Stud Poker. An additional of the 8 casinos in Poipet, again a part of a hotel, is the Princess Casino with 166 one armed bandits and ninety seven games. The Star Vegas Casino is part of an all-inclusive vacation and hotel building that features a number of luxuries in addition to the gambling hall, which provides ten thousand sq.ft. of 130 slots and eighty eight tables.
